The 1st Edition Legend of Blue-Eyes White Dragon (LOB) cards were produced in two distinct card stocks: wavy and glossy. These terms have been coined by the community and are the generally accepted terms used to differentiate them. Wavy cards have a subtle texture across the foil creating a patterned matte effect, while glossy cards feature a smoother, shinier surface.
Wavy copies make up about 1/3 of the total population. Among these include faded variants which have a wide range of color variations due to missing magenta. More drastic effects increase rarity and value exponentially.

All Super, Ultra, and Secret Rares in wavy have a chance to be faded.
